  Latitude and Longitude  

 

      The geography teacher was giving a lesson on map reading, and trying to explain to his class about latitude and longitude, degrees and minutes.
      
      Towards the end of the lesson, he asked his students:
      
      "Suppose I ask you to meet me for lunch at latitude 19 degrees, 7 minutes north and longitude 39 degrees, 13 minus east?"
      
      After a confused silence, one student volunteered: "I guess you'd be eating alone, sir!"
